This top to bottom curved front aquarium was designed and built by Moolis after experiencing problems viewing and inspecting clams. This design was made especially for Pet Stop as a display unit. The best way to view clams for health and colour is look at it from the top for health inspection and from the front to see the colours and appearance in the customer’s aquarium. To be able to do this was always a problem leading to the designing and building of this unique aquarium! |

Pet Stop have been designing and building aquariums since 2004. Pet Stop design aquariums according SABS standards, with additional over designing. This ensures that aquariums are a joy and not a disaster. WE build aquariums in any shape or height as long as we could dictate the glass thickness. Height is essential, the following is a basic guideline we use when we use standard float glass:
10 mm up to 600mm 12 mm up to 750mm 15 mm up to 900mm 19 mm up to 1050mm
In cases we need to go higher we will use either laminated glass or acrylic. (REMEMBER this is only a basic guide line and might change according to specific lengths or usages of the intended aquariums). All our marine aquariums are designed with an additional floating bottom. Aquariums bigger than standard 3 foot aquariums normally need “kick plates” (euro plates). Both of these are part of our normal standard quoting procedure.
